Wow.

It has been very busy leading up to Easter with all the due assignments. I manged through all of them and I have one last assignment for Management Accounting which is due in two weeks.

Being a Catholic - we have Easter this weekend and then next weekend I have a 50th Wedding anniversary of the in-laws and then the following weekend I have an evening soiree which should be good. I am looking forward to it as I will be able to chew on a nice big fat juicy cigar that night - haha!!!

All's well with the studying and I am definitely looking forward to the break to catch up on a few subjects that I think I need to concentrate on. I will spend the first few days of the first week of holidays trying to catch up and then I will have to just carry on as usual with business and life. Absolutely no studies!!!! And then will get cracking ASAP when the semester starts again.
I hope the studying goes well - and you must forgive me for not blogging as usual as it has been unusually hectic this year - strange??!!?

I wish everyone a good Easter and have a good break and hope the studies are coming along nicely. Happy blogging!
Ciao.

Shhh - an exploding cigar?
One of my favourite pastimes.

I thought that I'd add a bit of colour to todays blog for the weekend. Can anyone tell me whether they like the look of this old man in the way he dresses or...

like this woman here???
A bit of colour doesn't hurt anyone does it?
Well - lead by example I say. Anyone else has any colourful experiences that they want to share?
Happy Blogging and Ciao.
Keep Studying guys - hee hee!
I cannot wait for Easter as I think that I need the break to catch up on sleep.
The timetable has kept me very busy in spite of the other projects and work material that I have to fulfill on a daily basis and certainly it has kept me on my toes.
I drove down to Massey in Palmerston on Monday the 13th Of March for the displays of the Big Four Firms such as KPMG, Deloitte, ZNICA used to be known as ICANZ, Grant Thornton, Ernst & Young, Audit New Zealand and CPA for Australia were there too - quite surprising.
Well - for those of you that know me, you certainly know how I feel belonging to the field of Chartered Accountants and having gone for the conference (so to speak) only proved to strengthen my humble opinion. CA's aren't really all they seem. Sometimes I wonder why if CA's knew all there is to know about finance and money - why aren't they doing it themselves???
I know I can get into trouble saying this but hey - it is a free world and I haven't mentioned the word bomb yet - oops!!!
Well - I want to correct this notion that people have about accountants - and that is - when you leave your money under someone else's control - do not be surprised when you lose it all. Your money should be controlled by only you!!! This is a fact.
So the only way to control and grow your money is to study and learn the ropes which is not hard to do and then execute a plan and follow it - simple.
Lawyers and accountants bill you in hundreds of hours and this is what they do best. By law, accountants have a clause under all their work for their client stating that they are not held responsible for anything being handed to IRD ins pite of them doing all the work. Then why the hell do we pay them????
This is a lot of bullshit as far as I am concerned!!!
Happy studying and keep those blogs coming.
I am very happy to see that there is another blog on line - Leslyn and am very proud even though the growth rate could be faster. Slowly but surely.
Ciao.
Kevin.
Well - the new year would not have been the same without a bout of the summer cold or flu!!! It has come to the Gregory household and taken us by storm.
Amongst other things, I had to settle and see to an eviction case this afternoon and glad that this particular case is over. The horrible tenant is out of the home.
Still chuging along with the studies amongst other things but am very disappointed with the pack of participation here at studyblog. Anyway - I'll persevere and see.
Ciao.
